# 2.4.8 字符串类型

字符串的本质是字符数组。字符串在 Emacs 中非常有用，毕竟 Emcas 就是伪装成操作系统的**文本编辑器**。举个例子，Lisp 符号的名称，给用户的信息，以及表示缓冲区中的文本。Lisp 中的字符串是常量：对字符串求值会返回相同的字符串。
